TIME TO FINALLY GO CAMPING AFTER 10 YEARS

When Marv was forced to work 7 days a week we were forced to stop camping. When he retired we had Simba and he was too big to take camping so we didn't bother camping. When it was time to start again there was some major repairs. The windows had leaked over the years of "ignore", nicer way of saying it than "neglect"

What ever you call it the results were disastrous - it took alot of work to repair the damage

Marv and Jer bought a truck to repair and sell

As you can see that is quite the repair job but in the end Marv paid off Jer and kept it.

The result is :)
This was the test drive, we go camping the next day.

Tuesday morning we finish packing up and headed south to La Conner Washington

We zipped through the border and arrived at Thousand Trails an hour and 20 minutes later. As usual it was raining hard through the pass but the drive was just fine. Trucked pulled the rig easily.
Oh the GPS from our last trip has been replaced and works awesome. Donna says now my blog won't be funny and it seems she is right lol.

We were very happy to get a nice site on the ocean. It has not been a very nice spring here as you can see not much greenery on the trees but the rain stopped for awhile but man did it rain that night. It was so darn cold and damp.

First evening in our refurbished rig, good job Marvin
ooops

Oh did I forget to mention the toilet broke last night but we managed to get the part and Mr Fixit worked is magic.
Marv is enjoying this new exercise room way too much, must be because as he runs the equipment it sends him messages saying excellent, where as I get some sort of warning alert to check heart rate.
We were sitting by the fire waiting for Kate and Ken to arrive when a lady came running up the beach to ask us to get help, her mother fell off a log and cut her head open. You can see the paramedics arriving. The lady was ok

Now this photo is just plain crazy, it was a very miserable cold wet day. As you can see we were making the best of it but the flash must have gone off on the camera because it does not look any where near as bleak as it was. Man we were so cold and wet ,, see our gloves are on. We had a Weiner roast but it was certainly not the day for one. I had the big hat on to keep the rain from dripping into my eyes.

What a difference a day makes, it was really hot. We have changed our plans instead of going home Friday or Saturday we are going home Tuesday.

Its tulip festival time here but the tulips have not opened yet but the daffys have. There are lots of fields of yellow. You can see by the clouds how unsettled the weather is.
The days just drifted by you can not see them in this photo but there were whales out there. We have camped here many many times and no one has ever heard of whales being around here.

Easter Sunday and there was an Easter egg hunt, it brought back memories of when we had little grandkids down here.

We went over to Kate and Ken's and had turkey dinner, Ken looks pretty happy for a guy who just fell and broke his foot.

It was a great trip can't wait to go again.

Great pictures. What a wonderful job Marv did with the truck and trailer.
Did he fish at all?
Do you already have the next outing planned?

Thanks for sharing your trip with everyone.
