HOME

It was hard to leave our nice campsite and I had to be strong not to give into Marvin. He wanted to stay but we just couldn't. We stayed til mid afternoon then had a nice drive home, the mountains were pretty with lots of low snow.

When we got home Sandy and Al came over and we caught up with them . Then we were so tired we didn't want to have to unpack so we went back into the rig and camped there lol

It was a great trip. We saw lots of new places, had great campsites and made new friends along the way. Can t wait to go again

HEADING HOME

The sun that we had waited for all weekend finally came out in the afternoon. Then I was too not. We had a quiet afternoon and evening. Kim and Ron had gone home, back to reality . Marv wants to stay but we really have a lot to do at home. Taxes and burning both which must be done by the end of this month. Karen says its nice now at home so it's time.

FUN FUN FUN

We went into town today with Kim and Ron. We wandered through La Conner then had lunch along the water. Marv ordered a bowl of clam chowder which when our meals arrived he was informed they had run out and it would be a few minutes until fresh pot was ready. It never did arrive.

Then back to the camp ground and I don't know how many bundles of fire would we burnt but it required to trips to the ranger station.

That was our last evening with them, they go home today. We go home tomorrow . It's sure cold here as you can tell from the photos not like the first day when we arrived almost a week ago.

MOUNT VERNON

It was a rainy day and our plans were to go home but Marv wanted to go and see the street fair in Mount Vernon. We had not been there in a very long time. It was good and we enjoyed ourselves. But there was nothing there i could eat so I ate a burger and now I feel crummy.

When we got back Kim and Ron had a surprise for me. They found a bakery and lunch spot catering to people who can not have gluten and they had a huge loaf of bread for me. The place is just in La Conner.

Yesterday we went with them to a tavern for lunch and have been enjoying happy hour with them. Last night we had a fire at their site and we were pretty hardy campers because it was not the best weather.

We have a couple of people wanting our site but I don't know if we will go home or not it looks Ike it is clearing up .

ANOTHER NIGHT IN LA CONNER

Another night and another site. We were driving out of the park and someone was leaving a water front site, marv said do you want to move , if so we can back right into it, I said, no we have a nice spot and we have had a lot of nice spots let someone else have a chance, so we drove on then Marvin so wanted the site so while I went to get a tablecloth to save it he went to drive to the site, someone already had chairs there. We met them and they were excited to get the spot for the first time ever. I was happy for them. They invited us over later in the day. So we did our shopping and went over. Marv tells the story of how we almost backed in and took the site. Kim said oh no that was you. They had known the people were leaving so had taken their chairs and were sitting near by to make the move and Marvin almost out manoeuvred them and would have it I had not said no. She had seen the truck stop and was so disappointed that we were going to take it.While we were there the lady in the next site came over and said they were leavings did we want their spot. So it all turned out perfect. The way it was meant to be. We enjoyed our afternoon in their sunshine then came to ours which Still had fire going from the other people and enjoyed the evening, our little BBQ broke so Marvin cooked over the open flame I love the steak cooked that way.

OCEAN CITY

We broke camp about 9 and had not decided where to go. Do we go to Port Townsend or do we stay and on the coast. Well we chose the coast and it was a wise choice we talked to one fellow who had spent the day further east and said it was raining hard. We came to Thousand Trail/Encore park, Oceana. We are pretty much alone here just a few other rigs. They had heavy rain the days before we arrived. We walked the beach. Marvin bought a bottle of rum, at the cash register they charge 50 percent tax. We walked the beach and played slots at the casino came home with a few extra bucks.

It's a beautiful morning , we head to the ferry today taking us closer to home
