MEXICO DAY 18

Look at what we found. :) We decided to walk over to the other condo in the morning before it got too hot. (Sorry to those folks at home that had snow today) . This is the beach that the other condo uses. There are warning signs about when and where to swim and a life guard. We have not seen that at the other beaches.
Linda how do you spell Huatulco?

Those foot prints in the sand are ours, its very quiet here, just us and the life guard in the tower. So we took a break at the rocks you can see on the beach and out of no where came a guard. We say I guess the beaches in Mexico are not open to the public. As the guard gets closer I realize this is not a  guard, this is the Police, and these guys carry big guns.  We see them lots travelling around in the back of pick up type trucks. Many mornings when  Dennis was here we  would share our dreams from the night before, laughing because some how the Mexican police made their way into them. I said to Marvin well this time it is not a dream. The dude in the black outfit with the big gun  asks us "Do you speak Spanish" He looked disappointed when we said no. (Maybe its harder to take a person's passport and money when they can't understand you lol) Well we have all heard those stories, mine fortunately was not like that at all. He simply was telling us that it is not safe where we were sitting and showed us where we can swim. His English is much worse than our Spanish so you can imagine this took some serious sign language. We thanked him and since we were done walking started to leave the beach. He came after us again. I guess he was afraid that we had misunderstood so we he went through it again where and when we could swim.  So now when people tell their Mexican Police stories we have one too :)

It was very quiet there and there are nice parks in the area and two beach clubs that you can go to and use their facilities for a price, probably not much.  Since we were close to Super Che we just had to go there and  grabbed a cab home . After our swim and lunch it was time to go back and meet the people at the other condo., It was hot  hot hot by then and we were lucky as we left the gate, Judy ( owns condo in next building) offered us a ride. We met the owners Matt and John. They are very nice and very proud of their place and so they should be. It was decorated to the nines and had every cooking appliance you can imagine - well wait I wonder if I would have to bring my own slow cooker lol. They have dishes and cutlery for everyday, then for formal and for the pool area. Matt proudly told me how he can have dinner parties for 12 easily and in a push 18. I believe this is when my eyes glazed over. lol

Anyways its beautiful and the pool is huge with a bridge going over it. There is a community bar bq and maid service once a week, drinking water supplied and stuff like that. One major draw  back is there is no clothes washing facilities. That could be a real pain in the butt.

They offered us a really good deal because they are careful who they rent to (for obvious reasons) and have not found a long term renter for the time frame we want. We thanked them and left, told them we would let them know that we were still checking condos out.

We returned home and when we opened our door we were greeted by the familiar sound of the saw and some guy pounding . (oh we did meet that big pounding machine coming down the hill, that was good sight to see).  Grabbed a beer and headed for the pool.

It took us quite awhile before we spoke of the condo. Marv said well its quiet and the beach is nice to walk on and we could have a nice time there. I said yea but I would sure miss the view of the harbour and the  washing machine. He said he would too . I said ok well I dont even know if this place we are in  is available next year or the price I will find out and then we can decide what to do.

The saw noise stopped around 6 or so for a nice change and let me share you how we spent the evening. We opened bottle of wine and listened to a catamaran full of people out in the harbour. It was very very nice.
Don't listen to the one below its a repeat and I can't figure out how to get rid of it

The one below is different

We had been tired and frustrated at the start of the evening but the music, view and wine made things much better and our early to bed night ended up much later .
