I took this photo just for you Karen Ja Ja
Dennis and Karen left at noon. Marvin spent some time studying his Spanish while I puttered around the condo. It was siesta time for the workers and the quietness was so nice. Then it was over and I was at my wits end. It went till 9 last night, we go to bed a 9:30. So its this saw whining from 8 til 9 with a break at siesta time. I jumped on the computer to- well I don't know what my plan was maybe to prove that we getting a good price to justify the noise. I sent an email to the first place I came to telling them we wanted to stay from approx Nov. 1 to Dec 20 next year. That we were 68 and 65, which is funny because at first i said 64 and 67 but realized by the time we went we would be a year older. I said we were quiet and that my husband is handy so small repairs would not be an issue. The thinking behind this was in these tight times that a good long term renter that are not calling you constantly might be worth offering a good rate. Hit send and went down to the pool. Dwight and Joanie were there and I asked if she knew about the condo that I had requested info on. She looked at me stunned. She said funny you should ask me that, we just got back from there. We were looking at the condos, they are so nice much nicer than these. I said how are they different than these. I consider these pretty darn nice. She said well for one thing the noise. lol. She said they are nicer inside and cosmetic things like that.(not that important to us).She says she likes theirs here better because we have view of active port. That is a huge drawing feature for us too but not when we can't sit out there and enjoy it. The building is suppose to be done Dec 10, nice the day we leave. The push is on and that is why the long hours and 7 days a week. Hopefully when the tiles are cut it will get better. Ok anyway back to condo story. When I came up from our swim I had an email from owner of the other condo inviting us to come to their place the next day at 3. It just so happens that they are staying there at the moment. They walk to Santa Cruz most mornings so maybe we have seen them around.
We have no idea what the price is, could be good or could be right off the wall but what the heck, its something to do for an hour or so away from the noise.
Well its only 7:20 now I am going out to the porch to watch the boats leave the harbour and enjoy the next 40 minutes of quietness.
