Our adventure for today was to go visit Tangolunda Bay, this is where the all inclusive resorts are. We went to Barcellona and Dreams. They are beautiful, lots of space and several pools. Appear to be very very nice.
Last year you may recall we took a cab to Conejos Bay. We were dropped off at the side of the road, walked down a dirt path through what I figured had to be a snake invested jungle lol. We ended up at a very private beach and while enjoying the view we heard construction and saw big machinery working on a near by cliff. We later learned it was the beginning of a new resort called Secrets. So we decided to take a cab to the next bay and see it but it does not open until next month. So we walked around looking for a place to stop for a beer but nothing was open. So we took a cab back to Santa Cruz and got him to stop near some hotels or a small building complex. We wandered around there, nope nothing open., Now we are getting mighty darn hot. We walk from shade patch to shade patch with a vision of ice cold beer in our heads to lure us on. Well finally at the Best Western behind Super Chez lol, we get our beer and the most horrible pizza you can imagine. But we were happy. Of course being so close to Super Chez we had to stop in for supplies. This time it was mainly ice and water.
Back to the condo - first stop the pool. Dwight (fellow from the plane) and his wife (who had just arrived) were there. She is a very social person and quickly points out that the 3 young Mexican guys sitting on the lawn chairs are in room 202. (that is below us) we all stare at each other, nothing is said. lol. Turns out one has been hired by the new resort as the spa manager. The resort ( I assume) has rented the condo for him for 8 months. One mystery solved.
There was an annoying banging going on down in the construction area while we were in the pool but oh man nothing like what it was like in our condo. I opened the door to a hot house and pounding noise. Karen had closed it up trying to keep the noise out and with the air not working we definitively had an issue.

This is our background noise taken from inside during Happy Hour, doors closed.
Around 6 the big machine shut down and we went outside. Then there was a knock at the door and in came 4 guys, and two ladders. The end result was we have A/C :)
I was quite relieved the issues were starting to build up on my mind.
After Dennis and Karen leave we will have to plan our time around the workers siestas and their time off, usually Sat. afternoon and all day Sunday.
