Well its been raining pretty much constantly since we got home until yesterday when this took place.
It was a long trip home always hurry and then wait for hours. We spent the night in Houston, there was a soccer tournament going on and the hotel was full of kids running in the halls. Yes I complained. Then the next morning we did not get our wake up call, not that I need one I was awake watching the clock all night.
I had spent money upgrading our seats so we were in the first row of economy and had lots of leg room. Well worth it but I was in the middle seat and it was so tight I felt like it was a glove. Good thing I had lost 11 pounds while in Mexico, that was such a nice bonus to come home to.
We had a 3 hour wait for our bus to bring us north to Canada. It was pouring and our driver was crazy you would have thought he was on a motor cycle the way he changed lanes, cutting people off and tail gating. We were in the front seats. Jer picked us up and said, you would think a big bus like that carrying people would have descent headlights. I said "WHAT",, he said yea only one light and it was not a head light. Glad I didn't know that at the time. We were the only white people on the bus and we went through security the guy looked at our paper work and said so you have been out side the country,, wow,,since October. All he wanted to know about was where we stayed , how we found the place, was it safe, forgot to ask us if we had guns, booze or cigarettes lol.. the other people were being drilled hard by the other agents.
It was an awesome holiday and Marv (the guy that whined and belly ached for months about not wanting to go after I had organized and paid for everything) wishes he was still there. I am happy to be home where I don't have to shake out my shoes before putting them on or waiting til the room is light enough to see so i can check for creepy crawlers if I want to get up at night.
9 days til Christmas then I start planning our trip south for the end of January for 2 or 3 months..... you got to love retirement :)
