MEXICO DAY 5

We woke up to an overcast day with them calling for rain but by about 10 when the cruise ship was arriving the sun came out. We walked down to hang out with some English speaking people lol. The vendors and tour guides were speaking alot more English so I guess normally the English speaking ones hang out closer to the bay where all the hotels are situated. I was asking about seeing a menu at one of the restaurants, the guy shows me and I say ok but not for now, some other day. He says oh you are not on the cruise ship we say,, oh wait here is a different menu for you. Welll this new menu was all in spanish and pesos i can only assume its also cheaper. We set up a price for an all day boat tour for 250 pesos each, which is about 25 bucks each , this is when jer and jody and dakota are with us. Its an all day thing where he takes us to 7 beaches, several you can only get to by boat. We can fish, snorkel and swim what ever we want. Then we started to negotiate for a taxi excursion it started at 30 dollars a person for an hour but when he was telling us about it, he pointed to our place and said we take you there (a look out) we said we dont need to go there we are there, he said oh you are not on the cruise ship,, nope ok then its 300 pesos each for 3 hours. Don,t know if we will do that or not. Marvin and I can always do it at a later date. He is going to pick them up at the airport though.

We met a nice couple from England they were here for the panama canal part of the journey which would be happening in a couple of days for them
We were siting here having a cold one when a lady came by and said i will take a picture of you with our cruise ship in the background, we said oh we are not on that ship she said well how the hell did you get here lol . We had over heard her talking on the phone saying she was on some remote island but she thought it looked safe lol, Turns out she was from Oregon she said 80% of the passengers on the ship are Canadians.
We came home and my first feeling was that I felt sorry for the people on the ship leaving, which is kind of funny considering I know they are going to enjoy a fabulous trip through the panama canal.
So we have been here 5 days and we both are now feeling very comfortable and at home here. We have 30 more days to go.
