DORY DAYS, PACIFIC CITY

This ceremony took place last Saturday. It's a memorial for those Dory fishermen that died working. Also for prayers re the up and coming fishing season. It was great fun. A trumpet player who played for Lawrence Welk for years played and there was also a bag pipe player. The water was not safe enough for them to go out and take the flowers out to Hay Stack Rock. I did get photos of them at a later date.If you ever see a documentery on the Dory Fleet in Oregon, you may see us. They were filming it and I saw the camera on us alot plus we were interviewed. All in all it was quite fun.

Then we went to Oceanview and marvin found this opening in the hillside which he dragged me through
What we found at the other side,, not sure why they built this tunnel in this hidden bay, There has to be a story.
These guys were jumping off the hill side and landing on the beach.
|Yesterday was a bright sunny day we had planned to go shopping for fishing gear but then decided to just go to the beach for a picnic instead and then in the end we just had a wiener roast at the camp site and I read while marv spit and polished his truck. NOTE to anyone considering camping with us, think again I think we would drive you crazy we can't stick to even the simplest plans. At home I usually know what we are having for dinner several days in advance here I don't know until its almost time to eat lol

Last night I woke up with rain coming in the vent, it rained hard so we are going to the beach restaurant for breakfast and watch the big waves, then to the store to shop for fishing gear and  then i have packed a picnic that we will have somewhere along the way.
